Skoodlet
self-released in February 2009: $5.50
This hoodie-scarflet combo buttons around your neck and the hood can come up and down as needed. Written so you can use any yarn/needles/gauge, there are a bunch of variables that you determine based on your gauge, which you plug into the pattern, and there you go! So, use up any yarn you have around, or stripe between different yarns for a different look, whatever you want to do, it'll work!
The examples that you see here are knit with super bulky (two strands of malabrigo chunky held together) and size 19 needles, and with recycled worsted shetland and size 9 needles. The pattern was test knit by several knitters, with all different weights/sizes, to assure that the gauge formulas work.
This pattern was posted about on:

Extras: 4 different stitch markers, 2 or more buttons,
Size: adult medium is default, but there are notes throughout the pattern for resizing it bigger or smaller
