Ten 10 Yard Cuffs

self-released in May 2009: $4.50 [also sold in kits]

Ten designs, each using 10 yards of yarn, and 2 buttons, the set is meant not just to be a fun way to use up leftover yarn scraps for any knitter, but also to be a learning tool for beginners. So there are explanations of each abbreviation, and some info about things like eyelet holes, short rows, and slip-stitches in case you've never done them; but it's also great for playing around with small amounts of yarn and making fun little accessories, for knitters new and old!

there are kits available in the leethal shop!

One cuff kits include a 10 yard mini-skein of hand-dyed recycled yarn, the set of 10 patterns in a full color book printed on 100% recycled photo paper, and a pair of matching vintage/recycled buttons. Also available are 3 cuff kits (three sets of different yarn+button combos) and 10 cuff super kits, which come in a handmade gift bag with a pair of vintage knitting needles!

The stats:

Yarn: 10 yards of worsted-ish weight for each cuff - variegated works well

Extras: 2 buttons

Needles: size US 10 straights for tighter knitters, 8's for looser needles; gauge isn't too important

Skills needed: cuffs start out simple (just knit, purl, increases, and decreases) and get more complex (slip-stitches, short rows, lace, etc)

The pdf is 10 pages with lots of color photos and 3 pages of instructions for all the techniques.

this pattern set is a quick knit!
